Multiple | Aged | 40% ABV | Pot and Column Still
Plantation XO 20th Anniversary rum is a combination of pot-stilled and column-stilled Barbadian rums that are initially aged in the Caribbean in ex-bourbon casks for 12-20 years. They are then transported to France for a second 12-18 months aging in small French oak casks.
The first bottle of Plantation XO 20th Anniversary was created for the head of Cognac Ferrand Estate Alexandre Gabriel to honor his 20th year running the company. This special gift has resulted in the bottling we see today.

Bought my first bottle yesterday and immediately finished with a family. Opened another bottle this evening as it was so nice.
I do not know what to say.. Perfectly balanced rum, no afterburn, so complex that it is very easy to drink, suger content just right. Beautiful box and bottle
Fantastic Rum, one of the best rums I have tried, very enjoyable, easy to drink the whole bottle in one sitting.
Truly fantastic, a smooth, vanilla and spice with an oak-y finish. If you ever need to buy a nice bottle for someone, or want to show someone what a good rum is like, this is it.
little bit bitter but gentle taste. nice Brown color of rum.
I'm a lover of Diplomaticos rum, and despite being far less sweet, I'd rank this with some of the single vintage 15 year olds they release annually. i don't get the molasses and caramel as strong as I do in the diplomatico, but the spice side (cinnamon, citrus zest, and oak) are very strong on the palate. The sugar side comes through on the nose strongly but not so much on the palate. Bottom line this is great. I was hoping to have my Kirk and Sweeney 23 year on hte same level as this and was disappointed in the Kirk/Sweeney, but this, I'd buy again. So, not as good as my diplomatico ambassador which I give a 10, abut as good as the 2004 single vintage diplomatico, way better than my weekend diplomatico reserve antigua. If I could have given this a 9.5 I would have. Go for it my friend.
It tastes pretty much like a coconut liqueur.
"An overly sweet saccharin note which make the rum taste artificial. ."
