Plantation XO 20th Anniversary

I was given a bottle of this Rum as gift and must say now my favorite Rum... super smooth with a great palat... can't wait to find some for the shelf for those special occasions!

Very rich flavour for the better evenings. Always a favourite.

This rum is better than any other easily accessible rum available. Very good spice balance with hint of oak. Cinnamon a tad too strong giving it a 9/10 rather than a 10.

Overall - a must have!

Nothing special worth mentioning, just an average rum.

Its a real crowdpleaser, comes in a great bottle and has a full flavour. Notes of ripe banana, vanilla, chocalate and a sweet finish. Surely a great sipper for everyone .

However not sure about the dosage of added sugar, which is why rum heads might be disliking this bottle.

Excellent taste, not aggressive in the mouth, smooth finish.

This is one of my favorite, go to rums. One I enjoy it neat with a good cigar. It’s scary how fast the bottle empties. In my opinion the best of the Plantation Rums that I’ve tried.

I decided to try this rum based on the many positive reviews it got.
Unfortunately, I did not find the characteristics I was looking for:
Nose: mainly vanilla flavour- like standard rums on this price range
Taste: The first thing I perceived was the burning alcohol (It has 40% but it seems it has 70%).
Despite it has some nice vanilla and fruity flavour, the alcohol covers most of it. This is what disappointed me the most!
Body: Watery. It has no consistence at all. It is true it does not have much sugar, but I was expecting a medium consistency body from an aged liquor!
Overall I have to give a bad grade and I do not recommend it to anyone who likes Rum.

Havde forventet mere af den. Den er godkendt men havde forventet mere power på smagen ifht. hvad jeg har hørt fra andre:-)
