Havana Club 7-Year Rum is distilled from fermented molasses and aged in charred white oak barrels for seven years.

Oak, some smokiness, … I guess that’s all?

Standard aged mixing rum.

I feel like an earlier release was better (~2013). I remembered earthy tobacco notes. I had higher hopes.

Good but not great. Nice smell and good taste. Good price/value rum.

A comparaison égale je préfère le Santiago mais ce dernier est beaucoup plus difficile à trouver en import. Mais largement meilleur que le Anejo Especial.

A good rum whit coke. I think it's good as an zipping rum to because of the strong after taste.

I've wanted a bottle of this "gem" for a long time now given its history. My good friend visited Cuba a few months ago and bought me back a bottle of Cuba's finest. I opened up the bottle on my birthday last week and proudly poured glasses for all of mis amigos. How disappointed I was on my special day. It does have a nice color and is not too potent. On the flip side, it taste a little bland and watered down. I wouldn't recommend it for sipping ever, but if you add a little citrus and a little sweet it would work perfectly as a signature cocktail at one of those red cup parties. So unrefined. Don't waste your money or your time.

I've tried a few cuban rums now and am impressed with most of them. Not complicated , not too sweet or too dry , not much burn etc. Just right for a decent rum n coke. Dont over think it !

We thoroughly enjoyed this choice! Neat and on the rocks it was smooth consistent flavor with very little burn. It's a great choice for a mild tasting rum.
