Havana Club 7-Year Rum is distilled from fermented molasses and aged in charred white oak barrels for seven years.
Havana Club rum is still made in Cuba - where the company was founded by José Arechabala in 1878 and then nationalized in 1959 after the Cuban Revolution. Havana Club is now jointly owned by Pernod Ricard and the Cuban government.

It has a nice taste but it is nothing special. I don't like this straight but it's ok with a coke
I am not a big fan of cuban-slyle rum. I've try many of them (Bacardi, Barcelo, Matusalem) but this one still the best! It has vivid design, light, fresh, little oaky and spicy taste. Yes, it's little bit harsh but slill good balanced. The price is quite high (about 50$) but HC7 anos is a kind of my guilty pleasure! 8))
There is a pub hidden in the back streets near to Emirates Stadium London known locally as the Che.
Owned and run by Bolivian brothers who serve Havana Club 7 Anos as their top tipple.
In the hour before kick-off it is the best rum in the world or rather in the Che.
Not a great sipping rum, but really good to mixing and actually my favorite for my evening mojitos!! Great
Not a very good rum. I didn’t like it. But I would drink it if needed.
A sweet, almost tart forefront. Washes out to a fruity, banana finish. Quite tasty, blends phenomenally with just a splash of cola.
Its a good option for the people who wants a good rum and dont want to pay too much!
Its a good option for the Cubas Libres.
Sippable, good... But if you're in Cuba, find Ron Santiago 11 year instead.
Was bought this as a present, enjoyed it and am keen to try the others in the range
Havana Club Añejo 7 Años has a dazzling and clear mahogany colour...

'caramel, cane sugar, and a bit of cinnamon character in the finish'

Their is a creamy/buttery vanilla like smell oak, dry tobacco and smokiness.
"It’s very hot, spicy and very bitter. Luckily the burn isn’t bad and very short. Subsequent sips are much smoother."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

I love the Havana Club series. And this one is ok. Ok for sipping but perfect in a Cuba Libre, beter than the Havana Club anejo blanco.
