El Dorado 12-Year

First time trying any El Dorado Rums. I have to say its very good overall, I personally like it better over some ice, it makes a difference to me, even though I really enjoy sipping on this one.

Really easy to drink sipping rum. Perfect level of sweetness and really smooth. Also great value for money

Strong flavors of a strong blend of rums. Not fruity or vanilla tasting. OK to sip or on rocks. I enjoyed it with a bit of tonic.

bought this on a whim.. looked quite interesting and wanted to try a rum that was aged.. very impressed..enjoyed over rocks and mixed

Very smooth. I taste dark roasted oak with hints of bananas and tropical fruit. Slightly sweet with great aftertaste.

The rich sweetness in combination with spicy tones and dominant vanilla and oak tones have to satisfy everyone. Even the bourbon drinkers definitely find there the 12 years connection with the ex-bourbon casks. Overall, it is well balanced explosion of rum tones and sweetness which is turned into a strong alcohol burn ended by warming bourbon finish. Exactly as you can expect from the 12 years aged rum.

Truly very good and tasty room. Strong recomendation.

I've been trying to find my preferred tipple by working my way through rums, by both rating and popularity and keep coming back to the ED 12 year old. There are, of course, better rums on the market, but you need to spend much more for just a slight increase in quality. The ED 12 is often compared with the ED 15, which is certainly smoother, but for me, it lacks the bite of the 12 year old.

Můj velice oblíbený rum v jeho cenové kategorii, postupem času od něj upouštím, ale nikdy neodmítnu. Standartní láhev, dobrý rum spíše na shot než na dlouhé popíjení.
