El Dorado 12-Year Rum is composed of a blend of aged rums, all at least 12 years old. The rums are distilled using a combination of stills including coffey stills and a double wooden pot still before being aged in bourbon oak casks.
Demerara Distillers of Guyana produces El Dorado 12-year rum and is the country's last remaining distillery, with origins tracing back to 1670. The name ""El Dorado"" references the legendary city of gold that is said to be in the country's Rupununi region.

Great flavors and pretty smooth. Maybe just a little sweet, but very enjoyable.
This was surprise. Dark and heavy. Similar to whiskey. Has a taste of barrel. Definetly need to try again

Definitely a good entry point to the world of demerara rums. It's not too expensive, and from here you can explore up or down the spectrum. A little extra sweetness masks some of the heat, but overall, very enjoyable.
Very sweet aroma which begs you to taste it. This is a lovely sipping rum & for the price it's probably my favourite.
The taste is a sweet woody spice with hints of fruit. You then get a mild to medium warmth from the alcohol as you swallow. When drank neat the flavors are intense and its quite smooth and easy to drink. I only drink it neat. I could drink this whole bottle in one sitting it's so sweet and smooth.
Really like this one. Not to sweet and has a good amount of dryness. Good for nipping.
Har sällan smakat en som god rom. En verkligen god kvälls rom. Fin och mjuk smak tillräckligt söt för bara ett glas

Farba je tmavá, melasová. Vôňa pomerne alkoholová. Chuť nasladlá, ale nie príliš sladká, trochu korenicstá. Dominuje dubová chuť po sudoch od whisky, jemná chuť vanilky a medu. Záver zahreje a pošteklí jazýček :) Stojí za ochutnanie, čakal som trochu viac.
