Dominican Republic | Gold | 40% ABV
Brugal Anejo rum is a blend of rums aged 3 to 5 years in used American white Oak barrels that previously held whiskey and bourbon.
The rum is produced in the Dominican Republic by Brugal & Co., a company that was founded in the late 1800s by the Spaniard Andrés Brugal Montaner. Today, the Brugal rum company remains largely in the control of Montaner's direct descendants.

Reminds me of Havana Club. Liked it more than Santiago de Cuba and 1888.
Dry, slightly smoky, easy drinking.
Bought it for peanuts in Lidl in Romania to drink round the campfire. I got no complaints
It's not bad but I can do better at the price. If I drank mixed drinks I'm sure this would work well. Only 38% now, I'm sure it used to be 40%.
Blanco is better but you need to try, not bad at coctails
This is 't a good rum. Not even when mixed with coca-cola
Some caramel and a hint of tobacco. Golden amber pour. Light hint of pepper, citrus.
Nice gentle notes of vanilla and banana with a slight nutty aroma and a light oaked aroma.
"The rum is fairly smooth, however this gives way to a very strong burn upon swallowing. There are notes of oak and tobacco throughout the tasting but they aren’t very hard hitting at all."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Although not too bad of a taste, also very much an occasional change to the go-to bottle
