Centenario 20-Year

I tasted this one last year, having requested to try the 25yo, but the shopkeeper told me he preferred the 20yo and so he poured me a glass of both. I certainly did not dislike the 25yo, but damn, am I happy I tried the 20yo too! What a great rum... I will say the aroma doesn't blow me away, but everything that follows is really nice. A smooth and warm sensation with a touch of sweet, just right.
Why did I even wait so long to buy a bottle of it?!

A recent trip to Costa Rica allowed a taste of Centenario 20 for the first time. The best rum I have ever tasted. Smooth with body, nice but gentle nose, flavour of caramel and a touch of vanilla but not overwhelming. At the airport picked up a 2 pack of 20 and 25 for a very reasonable price and will spend some time now deciding which is better.

At first, the bottle design looks verg good. Red and gold logo suits dark color of rhis rum.
Of course, taste is good too.
Very smooth and sweetness like shine.

In comparison to the 30 year Centenario, this one comes very close in terms of quality. The price tag of this being almost a third of the 30 yr makes this an amazing buy.

Uno de los mejores rones que he tenido la oportunidad de probar. Dulce, suave, fresco y genial para degustar lento y pausado. Lógicamente puro!

Enjoyable, perhaps not quite as smooth as Pampero Aniversario Reserva exclusiva but still very good.

i prefer the el dorado 15 years, but centenario is considerably better then zacapa ....

Sur la cerise à l'eau de vie, un solera bien fait mais un rapport qualité/prix pas super. on trouvera mieux pour le mm prix.

Skvělý, slaďoučký, skvělá konzistence, chuťově paráda. Bohužel nemohu porovnat 20 přímo s 25, která do mě zahučela v minulosti velmi rychle, tak jen asi odhaduji a myslim si že 20 je možná o fous sladší (?) a zkrátka baví mě moc :) Nyní, kdy píši toto mé hodnocení, mám stanovené nejoblíbenější rumové trio: Millonario XO + 15 a tenhle vysokej dvacetiletej hubeňour!
