I really enjoy the original Bumbu, which, many people do not. I enjoy the banana taste and it’s a good mixer. The XO is not anything like the original. This is definitely a nice one for sipping. It’s got a more traditional profile that you look for in rum. For the price it is one to enjoy with friends.
A deep amber appearance with a slight smell of spice. The taste is slightly of molasses or brown sugar. Slightly sweet but not overbearing.
Surprise by the really special taste. Stronger than expected. It's like tobacco or coffee, the oak flavour makes it interesting.
Tastes way more harsh than the smell.
Ok, but not mine too be honest.
Rating 5-6.
I skipped the original bumbu because of the added flavors but gave the XO a shot.
Has good taste to it but nothing fancy
Bought this to compare to the regular Bumbu. A little disappointed, still a good rum. But not better than its normal variant.
I don't really see the point in this rum. The original fills a niche of a very sweet great mixing rum for the more casual rum drinkers. This is a far more classic rum however is very expensive in my opinion for what you get. People who enjoy this might as well stick to some of the more traditional brands if this is what you're looking for.
Like this one a lot. I found this one to have a hint of sweetness, but just the right amount. The sweetness doesn’t overtake the flavor of the rum.
Notes of cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg also come into play. It has little burn to no burn.
"It is a fair bit drier. There is a touch of oak and a little bit of spice. Traces of ginger and little cinnamon. It’s very very short finish wise."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Caramel wooden taste with coffe and sherry ending. It is good rum but nothing special
