Multiple | Aged | 40% ABV | Pot and Column Still
Plantation XO 20th Anniversary rum is a combination of pot-stilled and column-stilled Barbadian rums that are initially aged in the Caribbean in ex-bourbon casks for 12-20 years. They are then transported to France for a second 12-18 months aging in small French oak casks.
The first bottle of Plantation XO 20th Anniversary was created for the head of Cognac Ferrand Estate Alexandre Gabriel to honor his 20th year running the company. This special gift has resulted in the bottling we see today.

this rum is a keeper, i dont even know where to start.
very smooth rum with hints of vanilla, fruit, coconut, toffee, great colour and it comes in a really beautiful bottle as well. Great stuff.
dont mix it, would be a pity
For me it is a good rum, but that's it. The legend was too challenging.
After tasting Plantation Original Dark it was my "must have". When i finally tried it i was a little bit disapointed. It is still a very good rum but I was expecting more.
And that's an near empty bottle. Not pictured, the unopened back-up that is always ever present. Truly in my top two and it's not number two!
Nose - Caramel, Rose, Citrus, Spice...
Palate - Hints of vanilla, coconut butterscotch, slight honey, slight wood
Super Clean finish
The mouthfeel is one of the best out there.
For fun, taste this one side by side with Pierre Ferrand Cognac (noting the nuance between the two is truly enjoyable).
I'm not a great fan of coconut, so I didn't enjoy it without reservations. I like the long finish and change of taste, even if it's coconut, though. It's a great one and the bottle is a beauty!
Very good rum.
It pleases a lot of people.
Taste is friendly and very pleasant. A sweet rum. The taste is fruity with some hints of a slightly oily feel and LOTS of coco which is nice.
It tastes pretty much like a coconut liqueur.
"An overly sweet saccharin note which make the rum taste artificial. ."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Wanted to taste this for a long time and built hype so much. Finally, when tested, it was wonderful. Rich, sweet, but at the same time gives a punch. Enjoyed washing my mouth with it.
