Plantation XO 20th Anniversary

A great classic rum. There's nothing too special or crazy, but it's still really enjoyable. It almost felt like an overproof rum. The taste isn't too complex, but it's really nice and full. The tail is beautiful, almost like an overproof. This should be your baseline for anything you consider great.

Caramel and brandy on the nose, smooth, no hint of burnt, caramel, toffee, very slight alcohol burn, long aftertaste

Lacks a bit of complexity and maybe too sweet for my taste but still so satisfying to drink. This is one of those kinds of rums that you don't want to mix with anything. Just drink it neat, no ice needed.

Un rum qui se découvre au fur et à mesure qu'on le déguste. Il est fermé en début de dégustation et ou ré des arômes chauds et épicés qui donnent envie de continuer. Suave et Ron c'est une valeur sûre, un must have.

Mature rums have their flavor married and tastes as "one team". This one is immature with the fallen apart flavor notes, imperfect blending/marriage. Cheap and nasty. too sweet.

Good and neat taste of vanilla and apricot, and some hints of the barrels it's been matured in
