Plantation XO 20th Anniversary rum is a combination of pot-stilled and column-stilled Barbadian rums that are initially aged in the Caribbean in ex-bourbon casks for 12-20 years. They are then transported to France for a second 12-18 months aging in small French oak casks.
The first bottle of Plantation XO 20th Anniversary was created for the head of Cognac Ferrand Estate Alexandre Gabriel to honor his 20th year running the company. This special gift has resulted in the bottling we see today.

Sweet, notes of vanilla and fruits. Not very complex, but enough to keep it interesting. Didn't really enjoy the afterburn that much. It's a very good sipping rum, with a great price for what it is, but nothing really amazing.
A smooth and delicious golden liquid. I am sure there are better rums out there, but I have yet to find them.
Para mi la perfección hecha ron. Ni excesivamente dulce ni demasiado alcohólico. Con el cuerpo perfecto y matices notables pero a su vez suave. Todo un acierto.
Coconut, Caramel, and a light touch of vanilla are what comes to mind while drinking this beauty I don't think I've ever had a plantation rum I haven't liked before and this seems to be their crowning achievement

One of the best blends out there. Swert but not too much and a very balanced finish. Not the mention the great color!
Together with the Zacapa Centenario 23 this is my favorite rum. It has so many layers and nice tones with a smooth feel to the tongue. If I would recommended buying 1 rum for the rest of your life, this one would be it.
Reasonable sweetness on the nose. So good and smooth. A little bit of spice on the end.
Plantation xo is a wonderfully smooth flavorful rum which is super affordable
