Plantation XO 20th Anniversary rum is a combination of pot-stilled and column-stilled Barbadian rums that are initially aged in the Caribbean in ex-bourbon casks for 12-20 years. They are then transported to France for a second 12-18 months aging in small French oak casks.
The first bottle of Plantation XO 20th Anniversary was created for the head of Cognac Ferrand Estate Alexandre Gabriel to honor his 20th year running the company. This special gift has resulted in the bottling we see today.

One of the best sipping runs I have tried. Great taste and very smooth finish. Excellent rum.
This has been a favourite of mine since I opened it although it has been demoted to my 2nd spot since Christmas as I was lucky enough to receive Millonairo xo from my better half.
This plantation xo is quite sweet (which I like) and very smooth. A great sipping rum.
Fantastic nose when you open de bottle and when taste . . . marvelous. Great value for the money!
Yummy stuff here. Nice rummy scent that's not overpowering but still intriguing & inviting. Brown sugar & caramel with a faint whisper of honey & vanilla for balance. But if there's one thing missing at all, it's bite, as it simply has none. (too "smooth!") So if you like more of an "edge" in your drink, depending on your personal taste, you may actually pass on this - but I sure wouldn't!
Every time I take a trip to the liquor store, I pick up another bottle of this. Everything that a Bajan should be: aromatic, clean, very tasty.
Beautiful aroma and taste. A drink that you can enjoy by both a celebration of success or a friendly chess game. Definitely not appropriate as a recovery drink after binge drinking.
Your review – you could include things like color, aroma, body, taste, finish, spice, smoothness… really anything you want! You can also share an optional picture of the drink (or better still - you enjoying it!) by attaching a photo below.
This rhum is excellent. Well balanced, tropical fruit, vanilla/caramel and "spices" tastes, but rather dry and not too sweet. Bit of oak. At a reasonnable price too.
Exellent rhum. Bien balancé. En bouche, des touches subtiles de fruits tropicaux (bananes?) et de vanille/caramel, notes boisées et épicées. Pas trop sucré. Longue finale. À un prix raisonnable. À recommander !
It tastes pretty much like a coconut liqueur.
"An overly sweet saccharin note which make the rum taste artificial. ."

nose -- creamy, vanilla, leathery, dry fruit, not overly sweet.
palate -- smooth, sweetness is just right, again creamy and savory.
excellent sipping rum especially at its price point.
