Plantation XO 20th Anniversary rum is a combination of pot-stilled and column-stilled Barbadian rums that are initially aged in the Caribbean in ex-bourbon casks for 12-20 years. They are then transported to France for a second 12-18 months aging in small French oak casks.
The first bottle of Plantation XO 20th Anniversary was created for the head of Cognac Ferrand Estate Alexandre Gabriel to honor his 20th year running the company. This special gift has resulted in the bottling we see today.

I find this one to be similar in taste to Plantation pineapple but obviously without the lovely pineapple. I do like this and would give it a 7.5 if it were possible, i just think it is missing something, like a strong finish. perhaps my rating will change to a higher mark at some point but for now, this is just a solid rum for me rather than a spectacular one. Love that bottle!
Great all rounder. Excellent experience for the price. Love the smoothness.
Not sharp at all, very tasty with coconut flavour maybe soft and realy sweet. Litle bit burn in throat

Un rapport qualité/prix imbattable. Une explosion de saveurs. Pas un grand rhum, mais un bon rhum !! Un rhum à déguster et à partager en toute occasion
A great quality/price ratio. A firework of flavours. A nice rhum, even if not a great rhum. A must have and share for every occasion.
No words if you like Rum you most try this...
The real deal
Den beste Rom jeg har smakt, soleklar favoritt. En deilig lukt av vanilje og karamell. Ettersmaken er behagelig og varm og ikke noe dårlig ettersmak.
For me, this rum has a similar character to the "regular" Plantation Dark, but it's deeper, richer, and more refined. Definitely a rum I'll be giving to new inductees to the art of drinking rum.
Edit: 2 years later, this is overly sweet for me now. I still enjoy it from time to time, but there is better stuff to be had. As an intro rum, it's still hard to beat, though.
I didn’t think this was exceptional or anything. Sweet, coconut taste, typical plantation finish
It tastes pretty much like a coconut liqueur.
"An overly sweet saccharin note which make the rum taste artificial. ."

Special coconut taste. Balanced taste. First rum which helped me step out of my comfort Zacapa/Diplomatico zone
