After purchasing a bottle of a similar priced rum, that I will not mention here - which was absolutely terrible.. .OK... it is Flor De Cana 18 - I immediately went back to the store. Thankfully, they were happy to take the opened bottle back and suggested the Plantation XO 20. As one of my dive buddies always says... IF there is an XO in the name... it is gonna be fun. Needless to say... this was few years ago... but I remember some banana smell and taste... smooth neat or on the rocks - and a wonderful experience every time. I kept this bottle at my parent's house... and was able to enjoy on special occasions. Plus, I used it to introduce people who have not yet found the right rum.. or any rum for that matter. Purchase again in a heartbeat.
