Tasting this blind, I expected something a little darker. I expect that’s because this rum is filtered to remove color; either way, it definitely doesn’t taste as young as it is. I get butterscotch and vanilla on the nose, and more in the mouth. It’s smooth. Really smooth. Excellent choice for mixing, and just for swigging out of the bottle when you want good rum.

One of the best white rums available. Excellent in a Mojito

I’m not a huge white rum fan, but this is solid. Ultra versatile, from cola to ginger beer to daiquiri, what can’t this do. I’d still take many aged rums over this, but for a rum with under 5 years of aging, its great.

This filtered rum only smells slightly similar to the Stiggin fancy. But still you can tell from the smell that it is a Plantation rum.
On the tongue it is pleasant considering the price. I could easily sip this and enjoy it quite a bit. There’s some unique flavours going on but nothing that great. Again, reminiscent of the SF, just not quite as sweet or exciting. There is a certain brightness to this, more the flavour of the rum than of oak. It’s very pleasant and makes me think of under-ripe pineapple.
Good rum for the price, I bet it does well in mixed drinks. Really, it just makes me want the SF.

Interesting smell and taste. I wouldn't drink it neat, but in multi-ingredient cocktails, it's nice.

Ce rhum est très agréable en bouche, puissant, des notes très parfumées, légèrement sucrées et de coco, pas d'amertume. Un goût pur et divin !

Bacardi Superior this is not. It's a filtered English-style rum that still retains a lot of its traditional flavor notes, so you can enjoy a daiquiri while keeping it crystal-clear.

A very good rum and full of flavour and mixes well with everything. The hidden (flitered) aging proces has made this my favourite rum when making mojitos.
