Not as good as Appleton 12, but it makes an excellent mixer. Makes one of the best rum and cokes.
i guess this one will need no words of mine for those well versed in rum tasting.
but for those new to rum, please understand that rums have variety of flavors not just sweetness.
i wouldn't recommend to beginners but definitely would with moderates and surely well experienced rum drinkers would already know of the quality of this rum.
Good stuff from Jamaica for everyday use with coke.
Guter Rum stark im Abgang aber vom Geschmack her nichts besonderes.
in my rum supply, this Jamaican rum is nice and citrusy with a slight spiciness pushing to the forefront, but the finish burns a little if mixed too strong - which is not to say it's bad, just a matter of personal taste! ;) OJ and pineapple juice with this in it (and lots of ice) makes a great refreshing drink!
Bon Rhum, assez sec, pas un retour extraordinaire, dommage je ne me suis pas retrouvé transporté en Jamaïque!
I like jamaica rum, it is spiced, lots of cynamon notes, caramel, vainilla, some banana, oak and tasty. It is an ambar and dense rum, medium body kind of long finish. Good for sipping great for mixing!
Weer een om met cola te drinken. Je proef toch nog caramel

Gives a fairly pungent scent of molasses, black pepper and sweet alcohol.
"A touch of vanilla and ginger. There is still a hit of molasses on the nose and some spiced black pepper. The rum is quite delicate initially. It is a hot spicy rum."

I'm one for variation. I've heard of Appleton's reputation and I had lots of expectation for this one which seems kind of lame seeing as it's not the highest priced one. By the way in case you didn't know V/X is now Signature blend. Definitely a mixer I thought it tasted amazing with a slice or two of pineapple and some orange juice. Please don't ruin this with Sunny D.
