Havana Club 7-Year Rum is distilled from fermented molasses and aged in charred white oak barrels for seven years.
Havana Club rum is still made in Cuba - where the company was founded by José Arechabala in 1878 and then nationalized in 1959 after the Cuban Revolution. Havana Club is now jointly owned by Pernod Ricard and the Cuban government.

Bought accicentally, but drank with pleasure. Light and sweet
This was the other half of my present from Cuba. I recall it being more molasses forward with a distinctly woody character. Quite good, and from what my fiance said, affordable.
This is a very affordable and easy to find dark rum. While it has a very sweet aroma of tropical notes (banana, leather, pineapple), this is not a sweet rum. Highly recommend it for beginners.
I don't think this an easy drinkable rum on rocks or even pure, but it represents a great alternative to the 3 years old havana when making long drinks.
One of the better aged rums that I've tasted. Very affordable too.
Just from my memory - I can remember white oak, tobacco, vanilla, in the scent and taste, but the last bottle I bought 05/2021 (stubby one, unlike the picture here) had almost no trace of tobacco in the smell and taste, the taste in certain respect reminded me of Cubay Anejo, but was more crude, basically a bit of oak, bit of vanilla, with added walnut in smell and a bitter walnut twist in the taste - I am confused - did they change the recipe or my memory is bad? Still decent mixer, but there are better options.
Not bad, but nothing special about it either. A bit spicy.
This is one of the best options for a decent rum that you can find in a supermarket. it can be enjoyed neat and also goes well in many cocktails. The price is also very good!
Havana Club Añejo 7 Años has a dazzling and clear mahogany colour...

Their is a creamy/buttery vanilla like smell oak, dry tobacco and smokiness.
"It’s very hot, spicy and very bitter. Luckily the burn isn’t bad and very short. Subsequent sips are much smoother."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

HC7 and Ice only doesn´t taste the best but for mixing it´s okay i wouldn´t recommend it... There are better rums for the price.
