Havana Club 7-Year Rum is distilled from fermented molasses and aged in charred white oak barrels for seven years.
Havana Club rum is still made in Cuba - where the company was founded by José Arechabala in 1878 and then nationalized in 1959 after the Cuban Revolution. Havana Club is now jointly owned by Pernod Ricard and the Cuban government.

The 3yr is one of my favorite rums. This is a great rum especially for the price.
such a great everyday sipping wine that transports me back to the Caribbean every time. Yeah, not top shelf but reliable, affordable, full flavour, a real cigar of a rum.
Havana club 7 years in my opinion is the best affordable sipping rum.
Absolutely delicious on ice - and good in mixed drinks too if you’re in a bind.
Heavy on the tobacco, vanilla and perhaps clover as well. Great for a sip n smoke.
Try it!
When I think of this rum I think of it as a utility Rum whether you’re smoking a cigar at a party or just relaxing by the pool this rum is SAFE option. Would I pick this rum for a last meal request probably not but would I complain also probably not.In my opinion this is just the base standard for rum!
Not one of my favorite, but a good rum. I enjoy as a mixer better than straight.
Tastes like nice dark chocolate, simple and eligant.

Their is a creamy/buttery vanilla like smell oak, dry tobacco and smokiness.
"It’s very hot, spicy and very bitter. Luckily the burn isn’t bad and very short. Subsequent sips are much smoother."

Dark rum, nothing special for me. Taste of nuts, bit bitter, wood, vanilla..
