Havana Club 7-Year Rum is distilled from fermented molasses and aged in charred white oak barrels for seven years.
Havana Club rum is still made in Cuba - where the company was founded by José Arechabala in 1878 and then nationalized in 1959 after the Cuban Revolution. Havana Club is now jointly owned by Pernod Ricard and the Cuban government.

It seems like a good drink to have with cigars or pipe tobacco, however, I find it far too dry. I much prefer the taste of sweeter, more desserty rum.
It's my routine rum, when I just want to drink it without any special occasion. I even use it to make mojito and cuba, sometimes neat on the rocks.
Fairly rich in body without a heavy burn. Warming.
This is a really nice mixer.
Can be used for sipping but shines as a mixer.
Like all the Havana rums on my list not really a fan had the three havanas on a rum tasting night and only really liked them when used to make an espresso
.
Smak: Znikoma słodycz, wyraźna beczka, nuty apteczne, melasa, karmel a w tle świeży tytoń i ogólnie dość rozgrzewający alkohol
Very good rum for Cuba Libre. However would not recommend for sipping.
Typical Cuban rum taste. cheaper than Santiago 12 year old and not as sugar dosed at 4 gpl I really like it and at 60 aud a bottle is great value
Havana Club Añejo 7 Años has a dazzling and clear mahogany colour...

'caramel, cane sugar, and a bit of cinnamon character in the finish'

Their is a creamy/buttery vanilla like smell oak, dry tobacco and smokiness.
"It’s very hot, spicy and very bitter. Luckily the burn isn’t bad and very short. Subsequent sips are much smoother."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Good for a beginner. On the nose some aromas of honey, dark cane sugar / molasses. Quite drinkable.
