Havana Club 7-Year Rum is distilled from fermented molasses and aged in charred white oak barrels for seven years.
Havana Club rum is still made in Cuba - where the company was founded by José Arechabala in 1878 and then nationalized in 1959 after the Cuban Revolution. Havana Club is now jointly owned by Pernod Ricard and the Cuban government.

doesnt make for a good sipper, good mixer if you were to do that
Good for Cuba Libra or sipping with ice. Not a strong rum and is enjoyed as is with a Cuban cigar and enjoyed weekly.
Not a bad rum in a pinch. I'm personally not thrilled with it, but if you sip your rum while smoking cigars, you might like it
This is my go-to mixing rum, easily available, versatile and cheap.
It makes a quality rum & coke (if you use a decent cola like Fever-tree) or its even better as a dark n' stormy with ginger beer.
I wouldn't drink it straight though. shudder
Can’t drink it straight, but I’ll do Rum and Come no problem whit it.
Der Rum ist ok und ich nutze ihn meist für Mischgetränke
This is classic Cuba. Woody, spicy with leather and tobacco, chocolate and coffee . You can drink it neat, but it's excellent in mix with almost everything.
Neni nejlepsi ani nepřekvapí. Lehce nasladla chut do kouřová.
Havana Club Añejo 7 Años has a dazzling and clear mahogany colour...

'caramel, cane sugar, and a bit of cinnamon character in the finish'

Their is a creamy/buttery vanilla like smell oak, dry tobacco and smokiness.
"It’s very hot, spicy and very bitter. Luckily the burn isn’t bad and very short. Subsequent sips are much smoother."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Good rum, fine for mixing, good for sipping! If you don't want to spend to much this is a really great rum! Taste is pretty good imo and it's really drinkable for a "basic" rum (available anywere that means)
