Havana Club 7-Year Rum is distilled from fermented molasses and aged in charred white oak barrels for seven years.
Havana Club rum is still made in Cuba - where the company was founded by José Arechabala in 1878 and then nationalized in 1959 after the Cuban Revolution. Havana Club is now jointly owned by Pernod Ricard and the Cuban government.

Unique flavor medium body and color. Not my favorite one cube sipper but great with a full glass of ice yet drinkable straight in a pinch. This ultimately became our rum and coke favorite in the Bahamas, get a 7 since limited availability in US. Better than the Anejo, and Especial.
Rather poor rum despite its age, little character. Balance ok but for neat consumption there are much better ones.
I don't have a lot to compare this with in terms of style, so on it's own merit it is a good rum, works with cigars and a little ice or as I generally prefer - in cocktails. Makes some decent simple cocktails but it can be lost in the more complex ones. A good balance and fairly easy drinking making this a solid all-rounder.
Good rum for a mix, dark but rather harsh, not smooth at all.
It’s good in a pinch. I prefer cruzan single barrel but this works if the liquor store is out of cruzan.
Decent rum for the price if you can get it close to the border. I wouldn't go out of my way for it, but it's a fun bottle to keep on the shelf.
To sweet for me / Doesn't leave that alcohol freshness in throat :)
Horrible. Sharp. It’s a quality label that would leave one to believe it’s a quality, it’s not.
Fantastic, smooth to the taste, this is a Cuban delight. Great in Cuba Libre
Havana Club Añejo 7 Años has a dazzling and clear mahogany colour...

Their is a creamy/buttery vanilla like smell oak, dry tobacco and smokiness.
"It’s very hot, spicy and very bitter. Luckily the burn isn’t bad and very short. Subsequent sips are much smoother."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
