Anything El Dorado or Plantation you can’t miss. Solid 8 year old rum I prefer the 12 but this is just fine. My tastes have evolved, its drinkable but a bit harsh.

This is a wonderful multi-purpose rum. It's great in a Tiki cocktail and even serviceable neat or on the rocks. It's not expensive so there's really nothing to complain about here.

It has the oakiness of other El Dorados, but a bit more of a burn. Still not a big fan of the screw top. Splurge and use corks or some other stopper type.

Great price for this young rum. El Dorado has been recently become one of my favorite rums being it the 8 , 12 or 15 years old. All different but all very good.

Férový poměr ceny a kvality u klasického demerara rumu. Dobrý začátek s rumy. Méně sofistikovaný než starší bráchové. Dal bych 6,5.

Good rum, but after a few it's to sweet for me. A lot of caramel, coffee, butterscotch. Alcohol is present, not well integrated. In the mouth, it is pastry but very flat and short.

Good enough for the money. Nose not so nice - taste ok.

I'm new to this rum journey and this was my first rum.
My alcohol habits so far take for granted that the good stuff has to be dry with clear flavors and not over-complexed.With strong character that lets you recognise it on blind testing.
I think that el-dorado 8 years is a great example of that. It's not completely dry , it is not so complexed and if you consume some bottles over time it will become a great point of refference.
It's not the best rum i've had because it has a relatively harsh afterburn wile you drink it.Its not so smooth but other than that its a great one to have as a base to undestand the other rums you taste.

My first El Dorado rum and definitely not the last. Really nice colour and smell and low on sugar, what's not to love? Almost creamy, buttery taste when sipped.

Another great El Dorado, perhaps the best for price point. You could put this toe to toe with some of my most expensive rums. Neat really showed the flavour, or on the rocks, I even twisted some lime into it and that was good as well. Enjoy.
