Appleton Estate 12-Year Rum is a blend of several rums aged between 12 and 18 years in American oak barrels after being distilled using small-batch copper pot stills.
The rum is produced on the Appleton Estate, which sits in the Nassau Valley in Jamaica. The estate’s origins date back as far as 1655 when the English overthrew the Spanish to rule the island and Frances Dickinson, grandfather of the distillery’s founders, received the land as a reward for his role in the overthrow.

My favourite rum on a daily basis. Smooth flavoured with a nice taste of caramel
A good rum just wasn't what I expected for the reputation Appleton has. Straight up, it has a bit too much bite to sip on. It's not worth the price either.
I wouldn't mind beeing served one of these but I will never choose this one over another rum sometime soon. It's an OK rum, but there is nothing exciting or characteristic about it unfortunately.
This bottle always has a place on my shelf, very well rounded with many subtleties if you take your time with it.
Loved this rum apart from a sweaty smell on the nose the taste was great I would buy this again no questions
Realy good taste. You should try it. Don't suit everyone but I like it.
Another excellent Jamaican rum, one of my favorite sipping rums but it also mixes well.
Great sipper, pronounced oak flavour with brown sugar hint. Smooth and not at all sweet.

The rum offers a lot of smoky spiced oak flavour.
"A nice note of cocoa and a little hint of vanilla. The rum is smooth yet spicy offering a nice kick. The finish is long and complex leaving a lot of flavour behind to savour."

Best Appleton Estate product I've ever had, to date. Rich brown-sugar sweetness, with a slight snap of spicy oak character on the finish and light hints of citrus zest, this one delivers serious character! I'm loathe to only score it with an eight, as I really want to give it an 8, but it's not quite there - close, but the 8's DO have a slight edge on this one. If there was an option to score it with a 7.5, this rum would get it.
