Appleton Estate Extra 12-Year

Au nez vanille, orange et noix. L’ensemble est relativement complexe tout en étant facile à boire.
En bouche, un peu sucre brun , boisé, soupçon de vanille avec un arrière goût d’orange.
La finale est assez longue

Amazing with ginger beer. Not quite as good as a Ron Solera 23 but close.

Hace poco probé la versión mejorada, el rare blend. Pero sigue siendo un excelente referente del ron jamaicano. Seco, fuerte, nada dulce y con mucha personalidad. Nada para principiantes, pero en realidad junto a su hermano el mejor ron en cuestión calidad-precio

It pours light brown in colour. Aroma is of demerara sugar. Flavour is also of demerara sugar. Nice with cola and ginger beer.

Dont like the taste profile... not bad objectively but very different taste than most popular rums. 0 sweetnes, some whisky character, little burn & thats all.

This is a good Rum, not complex by any means though, molasses and some sweetness, but a bit "mono" tasting compared to what else is available in this price range. I do feel however, it is a good honest Rum.

Taste is approaching the 21y old, but without the coconut and the after taste is not as complex. A bit of cocoa powder sedimentation during after taste, which I like.

Overall a very solid rum. I personally can see this making exquisitely unique high end cocktails where the rum is the star! As a neat or sipping rum I feel the 43% alcohol comes off a bit harsh and detracts from the character that I know this rum has.
