El Dorado 21 is produced near the equator in Guyana by Demerara distillery. The final product is a blend of rums, aged between 21 and 25 years and crafted using 100% locally sourced Demerara sugar. Traditional tools are used in the distilling processes including three unique wooden stills. The rums rest until maturity in 45 gallon oak casks.

Great rum with a honeyed taste. Long smooth and complex.
Rich and smooth with a woody influenced finish. Lots of vanilla and Demerara notes.
Decided to try a double neat at my local bar. Definitely a top tier sipping rum and I would order a glass of it again, but I don’t know if I would buy an entire bottle for personal use at that price point. Almost too strong a sticky vanilla aftertaste..
Rum #7 of 7 at Laka Lono rum club tasting 6/30/21, truly an epic evening.
Aroma: oh, so fragrant! Tones of caramel and vanilla light up the palate
This is not a hot rum; long rolls of flavor unwind with every sip.
There is a lot of flavor and aroma and nuance going on here, enjoy this rum with some time and friends.
A bit pricey, but worth it as a very nice “sipper” over very cold ice.
A good rum all around, but for the price I feel it's a bit lacking. I'd much rather buy a bottle of El Dorado 12, not to mention you can buy two of them for the price. It doesn't seem smooth enough for me and my palette
Beautiful rum. Smells great taste excellent but not worth 200 dollars
'spice nose with hints of honey and dark sugar'
"El Dorado 21-Year rum review by The Ultimate RumGuide"
There is an extra layer of oak in the profile.
"Notes of oak and a slight spiciness also comes through. The rum is very smooth and easy drinking but complex enough to ensure you savour each sip of the drink. The finish is long lasting."

As the title says, lots of wood, almost like a scotch. After it opens up you get that usual El Dorado brown sugar with a more subtle wood
