El Dorado 21 is produced near the equator in Guyana by Demerara distillery. The final product is a blend of rums, aged between 21 and 25 years and crafted using 100% locally sourced Demerara sugar. Traditional tools are used in the distilling processes including three unique wooden stills. The rums rest until maturity in 45 gallon oak casks.

After tasting and got my mind blown by El Dorado 15 years, i tried this one. It is a littlbe bit sweet for my taste, but excellent rum in general for it's class. For sure you have to try it at least once!!
I'm not sure who's saying this stuff is smooth, it's far from it. I honestly rate this as one of the bottom rums I've ever tasted and will not be picking up another bottle again unless its for someone I don't like.
Un rhum à l'anglaise avec un petit côté whisky. Avec une belle profondeur et une persistance en bouche appréciable. J'aime beaucoup.
Nose: The aromas are very similar to Cognac. The front is sweet and oily, reminiscent of a Chinese medicine, made with honey and herbs, that I often came across before. Lindt chocolate with liqueur in it. There's also oyster sauce, pepper, and dusty wooden chairs from my grandma's storage room. Sporadic hints of light mocha cake.
Palate: Distinctly sweet and has very much the same notes as in the nose. This time, through, the mocha takes a step forward, accompanied by warm cappuccino. Glazed bananas, pancake syrup, and lots of tannins. There's a slight bitterness near the end.
Finish: Medium finish and still sweet. Lingering wood.
Very smooth, but not as flavorful as the 15 year. I won’t buy this again, too expensive for the taste.
This is a very pleasant rum, and very well made. It just isn't that interesting. A refined and drinkable rum, I can't find any fault in it except that it just lacks... Something I just can't put my finger on.
Great rum for whiskey drinkers. Features notes of vanilla, fruit and molasses, like the 12-year and 15-year, with powerful notes of oak and an incredibly smooth finish. The only thing that deters me from buying this again is the $120 price point.
Аромат
В аромате рома — пышные оттенки тропических фруктов, специй, нотки меда и темного сахара.
Вкус
Вкус рома округлый, мягкий, насыщенный, бархатистый, с богатыми тонами фруктов, карамели и специй.
'spice nose with hints of honey and dark sugar'
"El Dorado 21-Year rum review by The Ultimate RumGuide"
There is an extra layer of oak in the profile.
"Notes of oak and a slight spiciness also comes through. The rum is very smooth and easy drinking but complex enough to ensure you savour each sip of the drink. The finish is long lasting."

A little bit subdued nose, but aroma's of honey, vanilla toast and brown sugar can be found.
A little bit too alcoholic in the mouth with an aroma that makes me think of cognac. Also aroma's of toast, caramel, chocolate and a smoky touch with a very long finish.
A very well balanced rum
