Bumbu Original

Very sweet taste that quickly gives way to a spiciness. I'm sipping it raw right now, but I think it could do with a mixer.
I'm not sure about this. I want to like it more than I do right now.
I find it quite syrupy on the tongue which is nice, but it has left a slight buring sensation on the back of my throat.
You can really smell the sweet vanilla which doesn't quite match the flavour.

I was hesitant to get for the Bumbu Original, but I tasted it and it was really surprising. The smell, the aroma and their combo was to me very sensational. Sweet, fruity, and it is perfect choice for a family reunion and some great fun. Nothing serious about this rum, but BUMBU original is playful and happy.

I picked up a few sipping rums recently and grabbed this as well since I heard it was pretty good. Drinking it neat, you can easily taste the vanilla and banana flavor but it is extremely sweet and the alcohol burn is a bit strong. Definitely drinkable but not the greatest sipper, however, I still enjoyed it. I think this would make some really great mixed drinks though, 6.5/10.

The packaging was promising, and that was it.....
A sweet artificial rum, looks like a spiced rum. Overrated in my opinion.

Not a bad rum but the overwhelming vanilla taste is too much for me to regard this as a real contender

Fell in love with the first sip, enjoyed first 2-3 bottles, got bored after. Sweet, full with caramel flavour but quite sticky. It can be sipped but I preferred it with coke and lime or mixed with ginger beer. There are far more affordable alternatives in the market if you're looking for a sweet rum for mixing.

When I want to give someone a bottle of rum as a treat, Bumbu is the one. It won't surprise a rum connoisseur, it won't offend an amateur. It is balanced sweet and drinks well when allowed to decant a bit. Perfect for hanging out with friends.
