Brugal Añejo

The kind of rum you put in shooter glass in a party.
Fair enough but don't try to impress people with it

Dark shade liquid
Low odor
Sweet beginning taste
Oak, bitter mid taste
Short after taste

This is a straight down the middle Rum, a sort of Does as it says on the tin. Had good nights on Brugal and is good value for mixing with that little extra punch.

There was a bottle of this in my honeymoon suite when I got married in the DR a few years back. So it’s safe to say my mark is slightly inflated due to the nostalgia factor. From what I can remember the spirit was a completely drinkable yet slightly forgettable affair. Sort of a middle of the road experience where for better or worse it kind of flys under the radar. Not bad, but not great either.

The first time I took this, was also the last time. It has a very strong oak flavor and quite unbalanced. I even tried to fix it mixing it with some coca-cola and a lemon but even that didn't work for me.

Gas - For mixing only specifically in fruity or frozen drinks.

not for me. extreme alcohol taste, overpowers everything else

Hints of citrus and that quintessential island flavour that has a great aftertaste.

Bought this in duty free as I'd never heard of the brand and wanted something cheap for the holiday. This stuff is not great. It's a bit like paint stripper. I did manage to get through the bottle though so it can't of been too bad.
