One of my favourites. Very good taste. Love it. Would recommend.
Dry. Smooth. Hints of oak and tobacco. It’s a bit too simple for the price.
Complex and mild rum, with some rough edges, a lot of wood but too much taste from bourbon oaks and leather.
Mix between rum taste and wisky taste . Not too sweet, but still very drinkable. Should try with ice cube. Nice rum and good alternative.
This is a strong rum, it has strong oak aromas and caramel notes, you can smell the alcohol, yet to the palate it’s quite delicious, definitely recommended.
One of the bartenders at the Rum Bar in Key West said that this is his favorite sipper, so of course I had to try it. Full flavored, smooth, complex and bless my soul, not very sweet where you can taste the rum and not the sugar. How is it that I have never tasted this before?!? I taste very few flaws, really excellent.
You pick up the oak in this rum. Its very good, almost too good. I would use it as a sipper. When used as a mixer make sure to have a double so you don't lose the flavor.
($48) This one I’ve been looking forward to for a long time. Popping the cork, I know I’m going to love it. It smells sweet of the Brugal floral note I’ve come to love and even some woody oak tones as well. Very enticing.
The initial flavour is that of a classic Dominican rum with some long oak finish. The finish lasts long as bits of sherry come up to meet you, long after you’ve taken a sip.
Leather, tobacco and a sherry finish. I’m thinking a cigar would go amazingly well with this.
After the second tasting, the cork broke apart. Luckily I keep some old corks. If not for this cork issue, it would be a 10.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

I’m amazed by the ratings of this. As for myself is one of the lowest quality Brugal there is. Very burnt & strong taste. Not a sipping rum at all in my opinion…
