Legendario Aguardiente de Caña Natural

I have got much experience from this community, so, I give back a bit. This rum had only 3 ratings which might not be enough for a well based decision, so, I add one more.
My perspective is neat sipping. It might be weird that how can such an idea come to sip neat a Spanish style white rum! Well, I know what Aguardiente means in Cuban context, that is the reason behind my selection. My assumption was surprisingly good! :D
This rum is more dense as I assumed, almost like a pot stilled one.
On the nose, it is completely like Clairin from Haiti: baby corn and butter.
On the palate, it is the same together with a slightly peppery note and an elegantly, tiny bitter finish. Alcohol is not harsh but a bit stronger than in Clairin, especially compared to its 40% ABV, 80 proof. It feels also that it is a bit more diluted than Clairin but still very tasty. Letting it get some air, it does not lose much aroma.
Price in Hungary is around 8000 HUF on 2024.05.08.

Rogue Rum Club tasting on 5/25/22. Clear in color. Amazing fruity aroma. Pears, apples, grapes. Very grassy. Smooth palate. Mid-tongue pepper. Very botanical. Nice.

Nos: lekka słodycz, ananas, ziemistość, trawiastość, trzcina cukrowa, owoce egzotyczne, cynamon
Smak: wytrawny jak na rum, gładki, wyczuwalne nuty ananasa i owoców egzotycznych, trochę trawy, skórka wypieczonego chleba
Finish: owocowy - ananas, skórka cytryny i pomarańczy, w posmaku bardziej uwypukla się słodycz rumu

W cenie ok. 100 zł dostajemy naprawdę dobry biały rum, o bardzo ciekawym zapachu. Nadaje się do picia solo, ale przede wszystkim polecam spróbować go w klasycznym Daiquiri lub w Maracuja Daiquiri - absolutna rewelacja, jego profil idealnie łączy się z limonką i marakują.
