Bacardi Superior Rum is the original Bacardi rum, dating back to 1862 when Don Facundo Bacardi Massó purchased his first rum distillery in Cuba. 150 years later, Bacardi Superior is now manufactured in Puerto Rico, but the recipe remains largely the same.
A unique strain of yeast discovered in the Cuban sugarcane fields is used to produce Bacardi Superior rum. The rum is filtered through charcoal, a process pioneered by Bacardi, before and after it is aged in oak barrels for at least one year.

This is the weirdest stuff ever, drink it straight and it tastes like poison.. add coke and you can keep drinking it.. but no, as far as white rum goed it tastes awfull!

I have some under my bar and it is used as a mix for several drinks. I do not use it myself and find all whites lacking.
Bacardi Superior is the first rum I ever drank. At the time it was fine in a “Rum & Coke” but the quality was and still is so far inferior to today’s decent sipping rums. At the time, however, it seemed acceptable
It's not the worst I've ever had (Old Nick was), but it certainly not a good rum. Not pure, not mixed.

Good for mixing, or let say party rum. In my rum cabinet is over a year and still can not finish the bottle :/
Terribile.Mediocre anche per un semplice Rum e Cola.
This white rum is a staple in any home bar. Mixes well in a Cuba Libre, Strawberry Daiquari, and Mojito.
