Perilous

I consider myself a "pirate"! Going back to the college years (1970's!), my drink quickly became a "Bacardi & Coke". All my friends and local bartenders (at the "Jersey Shore" in NJ, USA) knew me and my drink of choice. Many years later, I met a "fellow pirate" (my neighbor and dentist) and we started trying other rums to mix with our Cokes (and lime, of course)! We then discovered a "Rum Bar" in Philadelphia (no longer there) who had "Rum Flights". That was literally the first time either one of us "sipped" rum. Got to know the owner who invited us to "Rum Fest" in Miami and that's how we became exposed to "fellow pirates"! Hardy har har! Well, the quick story is I created my own "rum bar" and have tried and bought many rums from that point on. My absolute favorite is the El Dorado 25 -year! I currently have the 1992, but previously had the 1986. When the "Rum Bar" closed, we literally finished the owners last bottle of 25!
