Wolfe Tone

I have been drinking rum for years, but I had never fully gotten into it, spending most of my time tasting, exploring and writing about Whisky, and to a lesser extent Grappa and Cognac. I have visited around a 100 Whisky distilleries over the years and tried thousands of different bottles. Rum is a much more recent hobby of mine.

As a Whisky lover by nature I have no patience for overly sweet rums or mixers, and hence skip most of the Spanish style rums altogether. Agricoles and funky Jamaicans are what interests me most of all. I love the diversity of the rum world though, and anything well made and free of added sugar has my interest. I drink my rum like I drink my whisky: pure and undiluted by anything except maybe a few drops of water.
