Centenario Reserva de la Familia 18-Year

My first Centenario. Picked up a bottle. Plenty sweet but complex. I get the Caramel and tobacco.

I tried the Centenario 18 yr after sipping a couple glasses of the Centenario 12 yr. The contrast was surprising. The 18 yr had the lovely signature flavor of Costa Rican rum, but lacked the depth I expected. I found myself reaching back for more of the Centenario 12.

Nice drink. Sipped with ice good aftertaste, clean and not to sweet.

Didn't enjoyed this rum. Very close to whisky or brandy.

Komplexnější a sladší než mladší bratříčci, chuti hodně podobný plantation xo.

Sweet nose, nothing crazy. Sweet and fairly simple taste - for a rum of this price and 18 years of age you would expect something more.

A good rum for the money. Centenario 20y is my all time favorite, but this one is also good. 👍🏻

Po nalití do mé degustační skleničky mne překvapila vyloženě nepříjemná vůně chemie. Nechal jsem rum odvětrat, ale moc to nepomohlo. Chuťově je to daleko lepší a tak musím její opravdové známkování nechat na jiný den. Dnes po několika ochutnávkách, kdy jsem se dostal na dno jedné láhve mi tento rum chutná daleko více.
