United States | Spiced | 35% ABV
Launched in 2011, Bacardi Oakheart is the newest addition to the extensive Bacardi collection.
This spiced rum is aged for 1 to 2 years, filtered using a proprietary process, and then flavored with various spices including maple, nutmeg, cinnamon and honey.
Bacardi Oakheart took over two years to name and more than 2700 names were considered. The winner, Oakheart, is a reference to the charred American white oak barrels that house the rum while it ages.

At first the starting flavor is a bit odd, but the spices are nice once used to them
En rones especiados es difΓcil comparar pero lo encontrΓ© bien balanceado en sus aromas y sabores. No lo beberΓ© solo, pero combina muy bien con coca cola y con ginger tambiΓ©n
One of the bottles where one never is enough very easy to drink in a mix and goes down like lemonade
A rum with lots of added sugar and color additives. This explains why it is a ''spiced rum'' and not a normal rum. Normal rum cannot have more than 20 grams of sugar in the EU. It is really nasty and chemical if you drink this pure. If you drink it with cola, it's okay, but don't drink too much otherwise you are guaranteed to get a severe hangover.
Cheap and sweet. I started with this rum a decade ago and for a long time it was a choice number one. For 13 eur you got 1L of great rum (for a modest man)
'oak barrels to impart a rich and smoky taste'

Smooth but it is also very sweet.
"There's a slight burn of alcohol and the spicing is maybe just a bit too much. There is also a slightly jarring aftertaste. Itβs a bit smoky and oily."

It has more sugar than coke in it.
Lots of artificial glavors and yes girls and boys love it, men do hate it!
