Costa Rica | Aged | 40% ABV
Ron Centenario 20-Year rum is produced from Costa Rican sugar cane which is turned into molasses before aging in American white oak barrels up to 20 years using the solera aging system.
The company producing Ron Centenario 20-Year rum used to be named Seagram de Costa Rica, but in 2002 changed its name to Centenario Internacional. The rum wasn't sold outside of Costa Rica until 2007.

Beautiful color, great solera system representation very smooth in the nose and spicy / hot finish.
With the 20th version, I started with the Centenario edition, and I will probably end up with it. It is one of the three most popular. I also tried the 25y version and it wants to ventilate a bit, it's more demanding. 20y just makes me more fun.
A great Ron from Costa Rica.
The nose: we can smell caramel and vanilla with a slight oakiness.
On the palate, it is smooth and even sweet.
The caramel and vanilla come back and the wood is a little more present than on the nose and light touches of coffee appear.
The finish is again on the combination of caramel and vanilla.
This is a smooth and sweet Ron, easy to drink and very fragrant. The perfect sipper!!!
I find it delicious and I recommend it.
Even if the price is a bit high in my opinion, like all those Ron Premiums.
I like sweeter rums, this one was the best so far, much sweeter than Diplomatico GR
straigth away in my top 5 of best tasted rums, together with plantation 20yr XO.
mild and smooth taste notes of caramel. pretty expensive but worth it!
Very good rum, I enjoyed drinking it, but we've had a Riise time for past few months, and I have to say that I prefer Riise more now. Centenario is less sweet with less interesting tastes - which is certainly something many people would prefer.
Nice, clean rum with vanilla and caramel notes, very fresh and balanced.
Imported from Costa Rica.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

I probably would have gone to a nine had this been slightly cheaper. A good sweet smooth sipping rum but not quite as good as it's same priced neighbors. That being aid, would I buy it again? If there was not another dark sweet rum in the price range....yes!
Great aromas of vanilla, caramel and a slight fruity smell, good smooth sipper. I doubt I would use this as a mixer, too good to drink any way but neat.
