Nose: light wisps of fruit and spice, faint hints of vanilla and sugar. On the palate: fairly clean, with intermittent lime, pineapple, vanilla, and spice sneaking in and out. Medium short finish...this is a lightly aged white/light rum with enough rum character to separate it from the blank slate of white retail rums. Makes a very clean daquiri - not distinctly delicious like a Probitas but you drink knowing it's a "rum" cocktail. A little light for sipping...
No particular flavor, not for drinking as is. Could be winner for mixing
Plantation never fails to impress me with their products and this one is quite a unique one. It has all the taste a dark rum can offer, but it's colourless. The 3 stars stands for the blend which is from Jamaica, Barbados and Trinidad. Has a complex fruity, somewhat sweet taste and it's also a bit stronger than similar rums; at 41,2% it has also a bit more kick to it. For the price it's basically unbeatable. Definitely recommended!
The vanilla, spice and fragrance make this a top shelf “White” rum although as noted it appears filtered to a straw color. Against white rums it’s a 8+. It has added sugar so you want to alter your recipes to account for the sweetness. It is too sweet for my sipping rum taste thus the 7.
The taste is fruity, crisp and a bit nuty.
Hints of honey. I really love it in cocktails but it's only a- 7/10 for no depth of flavors.
I know that Plantation are often judged for the added sugar. I can't see what is wrong whit it, it opens up the flavors.
I'm aware that this isn't technically a white rum, but it has wonderful elements of Jamaican rum with a slight funk and a hint of caramel. There's definitely a bit of sweetness here, but it works in cocktails quite well.
Zapach: Aromatyczna wanilia, palony karmel, dość styrana beczka, ananas, cytrusy.
Ocena: 71/100
First bottle of white rum that I drank almost entirely neat, made a couple of cocktails with ginger beer lime and ice and that was it. Worked nicely both ways but I wanted to experience it raw.
As per the nose and palate I got vanilla, banana and pear. The nose actually felt stronger that it was on the palate, which was really smooth for a white rum. Very well executed blend and I will def go back to it anytime soon.
It’s mainly a nose of strong alcohol.
"Initially it sips quite well and is reasonably smooth but it is has a very strong taste when swallowed."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

It's an excellent backbone option for cocktails, but I would not consider it a sipper.
