Now this was a surprise! I have tried one other Plantation rum--the absolutely dreadful Original Dark Double Aged. This is in a whole other league. I was ready to write Plantation off as a highly successful marketing gimmick after all the rave reviews of that other one. However, I knew this one was well regarded by people who actually know rum, so I trusted them. I'm still only batting .500 with Plantation, but the flavor of this in a daiquiri or in Coke impressed me. In fact, this is almost a white rum you could sip. Almost. Just keep in mind, though, that my rating is more like a 7.5, and that's because this is a white rum--which I don't usually have high expectations for. But it is an excellent mixer!

If you don’t have this in your bar you are doing something wrong. Mojitos need this rum.

Nejlepší bílý rum co jsem pil, ve skutečnosti je hnědý filtrovaný. Vynikající mixer.

Very tasty, sweet rum. It's nice to drink it solo or in drinks.

Although not a coctail fan, my mojito was just perfect. Only for coctails.

I'm not a fan of white/silver/blanco rums; as a rule the ones I've sampled are a bit uninteresting. This one is the exception to the rule, however, and is my go-to when I need a white. I've had a few really nice Daquaris, and hope to try some Mojitos once I get some mint in.
I've done side-by-side tasting from two different bottles. One definitely had more haut gout/funk than the other (and was thus more to my liking), but there was still plenty to love in the other.

I'm usually not a fan of whites but this is pretty good. Not much on the nose, light sweetness, burn on the way down that lingers

This rum is super cheap, but you'd never know it. Way better than the Cuban lightly aged rum or the Bacardi on which they are historically based, it's perfect for light rum cocktails such as a mojito.

Surprising. Just the right amount of depth while letting the other cocktail components come through.

Makes splendid rum&cokes, daiquiris etc. It's very affordable too.

This is how a white rum should taste. Aged. Nuanced. Easy to mix with other runs and flavors. This rum has backbone and flavor. I’ll go between this and Havana club as my white mixers.
