deschizi dopul ... POOOP .. si un miros dulceag si vanilat umple pur si simplu incaperea )) miraculos, te chiama cu cantec de iele , sau de sirene; iti apropii narile nerabdator de pahar si .. hei, ceva e ciudat acolo, dar esti prea prins in mreje, avertismentul e prea vag sa te mai poata opri..

il degusti si simti cumva la fel , o inbiere din ce in ce mai ciudata, vanilie si ceva contimente parca, in mod sigur fructat (ananas?) , si cum inghiti.. poccc arsura si un gust astringent parca, zici ca i ceva putrezit acolo )) si totusi se inbina atat de bine, abia asta e ciudatenia )) in mod sigur te face sa ti doresti sa gusti si alte romuri jamaicane ) appletonul 12 din colectia mea cred ca a stat prea mult timp sigilat , i s a scris sentinta ))

Vôna bola po naliatí pre mňa šok. Je pravda že je to moja prvá Jamaica a zatial som pil hlavne sladšie rumy a tak toto bolo niečo čo som ešte nikdy necítil. Intenzívna vôna ktorú neviem ani veľmi dobre popísať ale hlavne som tam cítil prezreté tropické ovocie, vanilku, alkohol, trávu a nejakú štiplavosť. Po chílkovom odvetraní v pohári sa trošku viac otvorila a pre mňa sprijemnila. Stále som tam vedel nájsť niečo iné. Kedže ide o nedosladzovaný rum, na jazyku je skôr len veľmi jemne sladšia chuť ovocia ktorá následne prejde v uplný výbuch chutí. Záver je príjemny, dlhší. Po prvotom šoku musím uznať že ma tento rum zaujal a určite ho este skúsim.

Just like some review mentioned, you could be easily disappointed if having high expectations. That's just what happened to me when mixed this with other drinks and juices.
But, I tried it frosted and straight and pure as it is! So, this is different story then, at least for me. Very good on it's own, even 8 could be easily.
As any other rum from Plantation, really love it straight!

It has a good sipping taste but not much character.. it lives in a mixed cocktail with slight effort

I love it. Banana bread underneath a palm tree with cigar smoke drifting by from further on up the coast. Walk out to the shore.

Avast, the smell of this rum be complex! Some fruit, a wee bit of oak, and lots of burnt sugar. Maybe a hint of Cognac... not a fan of Cognac. The oak carries into the flavor, which be smooth and spicy with a little burn. If you fancy a sweet rum, weigh anchor and sail on. This be a true clap of thunder not meant for the lily-livered. Drink up, me hearties!

I was tempted to like this, but it’s just not as complex as it should be. The plantation aging process seems to take away from the flavors instead of complimenting them. Decent mixer, but I wouldn’t take it over a solid Jamaican

In der Nase Jamaica typisch sehr gehaltvoll und fruchtig.
Im Gaumen kommen die Aromen ohne Zuckerzusatz viel präziser rüber. Karamell, tropische Früchte, Gewürze und ein wenig jo mon.
Im Abgang Karamell und Früchte, könnte länger sein.
Bravo Plantation, ein Rum ohne Zucker ! Für Einsteiger und Geniesser. 7+

Light amber with copper reflections in the glass.
In the nose Jamaica typically very full-bodied and fruity.
On the palate the aromas are much more precise without added sugar. Caramel, tropical fruits, spices and a little jo mon.
In the finish caramel and fruits, could be longer.
Bravo Plantation, a rum without sugar ! For beginners and connoisseurs. 7+

Purchased this bottle of Rum as it is said to contain no added sugar. Price wise it is available in my are for $37 CAD per bottle. The bottle presentation is quite nice with the familiar “Plantation” look.

This rum is indeed quite dry and very enjoyable. Sweet rum lovers are not likely to embrace this latest version from the Plantation line but in my case it is a sipper that has earned its place in my rum cabinet.
