Had this right on the beach in Negril. Same character as most Appletons. Maybe a bit more flavor. I found this to be more dry than expected. It's decent to try if you come across it but I wouldn't buy a bottle.
Great for mixing, but too sharp to drink straight.
Not matured long enough for sipping. Still has that great Appleton flavor though and great for mixed drinks.
Good for mixing but only slightly better than the special
My favourite rum to be paired with cola. Not the greatest sipping rum, but great for mixing. A little sweet for some.
À venir prochainement.............................
Great entry level from Appleton. Could drink it neat but would say (and as the price point suggest) it is a great “premium” mixer.
Good Jamaican signature aroma. Underlying sweetness, apricot, orange peel and some brown sugar. It’s a bit light on the palate as it is not that complex. Pretty much tastes as what you can smell on the nose and with a little alcohol burn at the end.
Great mixer for a good price (Can be easily find for less than £20 in UK)
Entry-level rum in the Appleton Estate family

One of the most ancient distilleries of them all

Gives a fairly pungent scent of molasses, black pepper and sweet alcohol.
"A touch of vanilla and ginger. There is still a hit of molasses on the nose and some spiced black pepper. The rum is quite delicate initially. It is a hot spicy rum."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

I can recommend it for stronger rum fans with straight taste. Not so extra flawoured.
