Havana Club Anejo Especial

As good as the 7 year old Havana Club,but smoother.

The bottle is of standard good quality with the archetypical Havana Club logo. The rum is dark golden/light brown with a sharp grassy and unpleasant smell. It has a sweet caramel tohether with some fruity taste on one side, and strong ethanol on the other. This is good for mixing. More expensive than the Havana Club 3 Year, but not quite worth the extra.

Bought this by mistake the 1st time thinking it was the Reserva. Glad I did though. Nothing special here, but if you can get it on special it's a decent rum at a decent price. It's a go to rum. Now you can leave the better more expensive rums for the more special occasions.

I like to mix this rum with cola.
It is not a rum i would drink on it's own as a sipping rum.
Once you open the bottle it has a very strong smell, but when mixed with cola it smells very nice in the glass.

This is one of the greatest rums I have ever tasted. Mellow tast, beautiful oak aroma. One of the finest by far. Only available in Cuba.

Un petit 4x4 au prix imbattable. Doux et épicé, tout le monde peu l'apprécié. Il dépanne pour tout même avec un cigare.

As others have said, this rum is quite strong and the alcoholic aftertaste may put some off. It's a great mixer, with coke and lime especially, but it does work as a sipping rum if you're into stronger blends.

To harsh as a sipper for me but certainly good for mixing.

This bottle will always remind me of the time attending the Tropicana show in Havana. A bottle of this was included with 2 very small cans of coke.
Finished the bottle by the end of the show though.

fin rom til drinks, men stadig ikke noget som kan måle sig med deres 7års model :)
