Havana Club 7-Year Rum is distilled from fermented molasses and aged in charred white oak barrels for seven years.
Havana Club rum is still made in Cuba - where the company was founded by José Arechabala in 1878 and then nationalized in 1959 after the Cuban Revolution. Havana Club is now jointly owned by Pernod Ricard and the Cuban government.

Good everyday rum. Relatively cheap and OK to drink over ice but not amazing.
Not really for sipping but great with Coke. Classic combination

When you
Mix this Rum with coke, they call it in Cuba: Cubata. Coke with dark Rum. Cuba libre is with white Rum.
Most folks from the US will get this while traveling abroad because its Cuban. Its pretty mediocre and is okay for mixing.
Good for sipping and mixing. Nice to have as a basic presence in your collection

More expensive rum but the taste doesn't correspond with the price. Too spicy, taste cheap
