Havana Club 7-Year Rum is distilled from fermented molasses and aged in charred white oak barrels for seven years.
Havana Club rum is still made in Cuba - where the company was founded by José Arechabala in 1878 and then nationalized in 1959 after the Cuban Revolution. Havana Club is now jointly owned by Pernod Ricard and the Cuban government.

At a family wedding in Cancun this past winter, there was Havana Club or an Argentinian Rum, which I tried both. I found the Havana smoother. I started off neat and then added several ice cubes as the night progressed. I was able to drink it all evening without getting out of hand. Did not have a surprising feeling in the morning either. Good, all around rum.
Great barrel flavor, nice aftertaste and superb aroma. One of my favorites
This is my everyday sipping rum. Quite sweet, good value for money (Norway).
This one is not bad at all. This seems to be the standard for all rums. Goes great mixed or straight. Sweet start with a mellow oak finish.
A dry rum I once drank in a bar, and wasn't fan of it. Since this rum has relatively good rating in this site, probably I have to give it another chance someday.
It´s ok for a sip, but is better mixing.
A little dry. Simple flavor.
So many good memories tied to this rum. First had it at an all inclusive resort in Riviera Maya! It is one of my favorites. Solid mixer, or in a glass with a few rocks. Not very complex but it gets the job done. I wish we could get it in Colorado. Be advised, the Havana club from puerto rico is not the same.
rough on the nose not an elegant rum defiantly needs some work
Dégustè aux canaries. Un très bon rhum de moyenne gamme
Havana Club Añejo 7 Años has a dazzling and clear mahogany colour...

Their is a creamy/buttery vanilla like smell oak, dry tobacco and smokiness.
"It’s very hot, spicy and very bitter. Luckily the burn isn’t bad and very short. Subsequent sips are much smoother."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Smooth, I prefer this gem neat, with a wee bit of ice.. not so good mixed, but stands up well on its own
