Havana Club 7-Year Rum is distilled from fermented molasses and aged in charred white oak barrels for seven years.
Havana Club rum is still made in Cuba - where the company was founded by José Arechabala in 1878 and then nationalized in 1959 after the Cuban Revolution. Havana Club is now jointly owned by Pernod Ricard and the Cuban government.

Decent rum. You have to let it breath because of the strong alcohol smell and taste at first but once you let it sit in a glass of ice the flavors come out nicely. I enjoyed this rum with a nice cigar and under the tones of tabacco in the rum I can taste the vanilla and molasses. It was also good mixed but the soda masked most of the flavors. Wasn't a great rum but was worth having in the collection. Would buy again.
I use it for drinks, but it's not bad for drinking with a cube of i en eiter.
Poco profumato, il sapore è di tabacco legno e alcol.
It's not the best rhum in the world by far but its a great affordable rhum for by the pool with a mixer.
Not much bang for the buck, too expensive for the thing, makes a good rum and coke though
The best rum I had in this pricegroup. It's maybe not as good as the fanciest ones, but one of my favorite.
Not strongly smell or taste, this is one delicious rum. Yes, there is a lot of better rums out there, but this one is widely common with decent taste for the buck.
The taste is sweet, chocolate and almonds, molasses with little burn. It is the kind of versatile rum, ready for some (heavy) sipping or in some fine cocktails.
Sans etre extraordinaire il se boit avec plaisr même sans accompagnement. A boire en fumant un cohiba pour se sentir voyager.
I received this as a gift and I would recommend drinking it neat, as always there is a place for it in cocktails and I have one I might recommend that may enrich your life for the better.
Take a mug, a tablespoon of honey, pour in boiling water, put in one pukka blue detox herbal tea and add one caps worth. It may not be the biggest party drink but it'll will and has killed many a troublesome flu/cold.
Havana Club Añejo 7 Años has a dazzling and clear mahogany colour...

Their is a creamy/buttery vanilla like smell oak, dry tobacco and smokiness.
"It’s very hot, spicy and very bitter. Luckily the burn isn’t bad and very short. Subsequent sips are much smoother."

A little smokey, some vanilla and tobacco.
Short finish. Not bad, just not great either.
But hands down one of the best rums to mix in your cocktails.
