Havana Club 7-Year Rum is distilled from fermented molasses and aged in charred white oak barrels for seven years.
Havana Club rum is still made in Cuba - where the company was founded by José Arechabala in 1878 and then nationalized in 1959 after the Cuban Revolution. Havana Club is now jointly owned by Pernod Ricard and the Cuban government.

In a rum emergency, where you only have supermarkets to work with, and for about £20 this will do. With enough time to mail order, this would be a terrible choice. It’s not terrible, but it’s pretty rough really.
A nice rum for beginners, or as a mixer. I bought my bottle in Sweden and compared it to its prices in the rest of Europe and must say that despite the lovely tobacco aromas and good mouthfeel I wouldn’t say it is worth its continental price.
Could be better without the harsh taste at the end, there are better ones for the same price. Good thing is, it's not sweet.
First burn is a bit alcoholic, but character is decent. Unfortunately there is no aftertaste whatsoever and after 10 seconds the rum is gone. Maybe got for mixing but not sipping.
Would love to get cuban Rum in America!!! First taste was amazing finally was able to find some on a trip to Italy. Looking forward to pairing with food.
Un agradable ron sobre todo para mezclar en cócteles. Se siente las notas de madera y vainilla, y no quema al pasar. Buen ron para su precio.
A nicely aged rum that although doesn't have the same taste memories as say a Mount Gay Extra Old, does provide a pleasant mixing experience. One to be drunk on a hot night mixed with ginger beer and a touch of lime with a Cuban cigar, nice.
Havana Club Añejo 7 Años has a dazzling and clear mahogany colour...

Their is a creamy/buttery vanilla like smell oak, dry tobacco and smokiness.
"It’s very hot, spicy and very bitter. Luckily the burn isn’t bad and very short. Subsequent sips are much smoother."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

A medium bodied rum with a smokey taste but still smooth. Molasses and oak also come out. Good with cola.
