Havana Club 7-Year Rum is distilled from fermented molasses and aged in charred white oak barrels for seven years.
Havana Club rum is still made in Cuba - where the company was founded by José Arechabala in 1878 and then nationalized in 1959 after the Cuban Revolution. Havana Club is now jointly owned by Pernod Ricard and the Cuban government.

Sweet and buttery nose with hints of toffee, honeycomb and coffee, a little spice and notes of orchard fruits. Rich and complex flavours which make you think of a cigar box made out of cedarwood, but also, aromas of guava and banana leaves with more toffee.
One of the best rum old fashioned you could make. Strong and mellow.
Pretty good value for a cuban rum, would recommend for cocktails more than sipping.
Cuba libre ok. .
Not really any aftertaste, better than the standard Havana Club, very ‘moorish’
I like it mixed with coke and a lime. I wouldn’t count it among my favorites.
Great taste and easily consumed as a mixer. I always look for it on the shelves/menu. Definitely not your every weekend purchase but worth it.
Not a big fan, a definite mixer for me, Doesn't have the smoothness of the diplomatico's
Havana Club Añejo 7 Años has a dazzling and clear mahogany colour...

Their is a creamy/buttery vanilla like smell oak, dry tobacco and smokiness.
"It’s very hot, spicy and very bitter. Luckily the burn isn’t bad and very short. Subsequent sips are much smoother."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

This one is hard to find locally, so every time we travel internationally, we've made a point of picking this up at the airport... It's a pretty OK single sipper but GREAT for a rum old fashioned or an aged twist on a daiquiri, it really gets going with some citrus!
