Havana Club 7-Year rum

Havana Club 7-Year

Cuba | Aged | 40% ABV

Havana Club 7-Year Rum is distilled from fermented molasses and aged in charred white oak barrels for seven years.

It may not be the best one, it may be a commercial, but it remain a safe and nice choice for any purposes, cocktails or anything else.

it is not a sipping rum so it shall be rated accordingly. it suits the purpose and better than the similarly priced competititor.

I normally drink golden and premium aged rums, but was given a bottle of Havana Club 7 year as a present. It has sat on the shelf for some time now, as I expected it to be only suitable for cocktails, but I recently decided to try it. It’s definitely not a great rum, but it’s pretty good. It is not too sweet and fairly smooth, with a bit of a bite. It will not replace any of my favourite tipples, but it’s half their price, yet not far behind in quality. If you are on a budget, it’s well worth trying it.

I was pleasantly impressed by the smokey smooth finish to this rum. Typical quality Cuban rum and easy to drink as a mixer. Is not a regular bottle in my rotation but I would easily purchase again.

too sweet, cubans usually are dry but not this one, it s popular so we keep it on our shelves, we do their signature cocktail culto a la vida adding cranberry and fresh lime juices ...

Smokey aroma with a very clean, heavy taste. Very good rum

Kým Anejo Especial, jednoznačný lowend kubánskeho výrobcu, bol dosť umelý a vanilkovo sladký, Seleccione de Maestro bol už celkom iná kvalitatívna aj cenová kategória. Dotretice skúšam zjavne najrozšírenejší z ponuky tejto značky, 7-ročný ležiak, zacielený kamsi do stredu. Fľaša skôr jednoduchá, farba pekná jantárová. Vôňa výrazná, cítiť dub, kožu, vanilku a určite aj štipľavý alkohol. Narozdiel od vyššiespomenutého Seleccione tu necítiť nič, čo by priemerný ruman už dôverne nepoznal. Chuť preto vôbec neprekvapuje, presne odráža spektrum vôní. Drink je stredne sladký, nie celkom vyzretý, znova veľa dreva, kože, vanilky...a trochu zemitosti, až zatuchlosti. Záver krátky a dosť planý, v ústach ostávajú stopy umeliny. Pravda je, že sa to dá piť, určite dobrá voľba aj do mixu s colou, no za rovnaké peniaze bezpečne uprednostním Plantation Barbados 5Y, Barcelo Imperial alebo Pampero Aniversario.

This is the best rum pubs in the UK have to offer. The narrow dark brown bottle fits well on the shelf. The rum is a dark brown with a scent of banana and pineapple. A little bit of fire in the mouth and a short to medium after taste. God for mixing. Not bad for sipping if there is no alternative.

Rhum facile à boire, surtout en cocktail car peu expressif.

The burn of oak or alcohol are scarcely present (if at all, to an experienced tongue). Leather, coffee, and faint baked banana bread make up the bulk of the nose and flavour profile for this rum.
Its lack of strong figure make it sink to the background of cocktails, but the enjoyable taste of coffee and banana make it a casual sipper that I enjoy with my less rum-savvy friends quite often.
