Young rum that already has character. Great mixer for Coke or mojitos
Perfect for mixing. Pretty neutral taste with some sort of sweetness in the background. Not recommendable to drink straight
Havana Club yellow label was the first rum i've tried. It seemed good to me. It has right rum's favour and taste. It hadn't harsh like the others and could be even drinked neat. Classic cockails with this rum (Daiquiri, Mojito, El Presidente of couse and my favorite - Hemingway Special) came out excellent. It is cheap (around 23$/L) and wide available in the shops. Here, in Russia we can buy only 3 kind of rums: Bacardi, CapMorgan and Havana Club :( Among them, at least, Havana is the best. I've also tried some domican rums and the others, but can't find better (yet!)
It has a pleasant smell and great taste, but it works better in cocktails.
It actually taste better than expected alone, very fruity. But for its quality and price it is clearly your rum for coktails only.
So, I tried worse but this is bad enough to not recommend to drink.
Nothing special, usually blended in cocktails..... A simple commercial rum
'intense nose with accents of vanilla, caramelized pears'
"Havana Club 3-Year rum review by The Ultimate Rum Guide"
The nose is very sweet.
"When sipped the rum is fairly smooth but it doesn’t have an abundance of flavour. Its sweet but very short."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Somewhere between Havana Blanco and Havana Reserva. Closer to Blanco. Try it with cola.
