As most will agree, this is the best rum for all classic cocktails that use white rum as a base. I love the nose on this rum, very moreish. Not amazing to sip but that’s not the point of this staple.
Кубински ром, свеж и цитрусов. На вкус е чист, плътен с ванилови и дъбови оттенъци. Финалът е плавен, с умерена продължителност. Повече става за коктейли, а директната консумация, не е от най-силните му качества.
The sweet sugar notes come out in a simple and clean package, making it perfect for sour lime cocktails like the Daiquiri. It may get lost though in more complex Tiki cocktails, but in rum, citrus, and sugar cocktails this is great!
The 3 years makes it taste like rum, and not sweet vodka. Perfect for tropical drinks.
I’ve had some issues ratings this rum. As a white mixing rum for mojitos and daiquiris, it is second to none.
As a sipping rum however, obviously it does not make the cut.
As a white mixing rum: 10/10
To drink alone: 5.5/10
This rum is really good. Light with a hint of vanillia. Better than Captain Morgan and Barcardi.
To me he’s the perfect mixer for Daiquiri, Cuba Libre and other Cuban cocktails.
Not that bad on it’s own and pretty cheap.
Just nice.
Rum przyzwoity, idealny do drinków, wychodzą świetne. Można też solo ale raczej z lodem.
En anonym rom som är perfekt att använda i drinkar.
Good at what it aims to be, slighty above average overall.
'intense nose with accents of vanilla, caramelized pears'
"Havana Club 3-Year rum review by The Ultimate Rum Guide"
The nose is very sweet.
"When sipped the rum is fairly smooth but it doesn’t have an abundance of flavour. Its sweet but very short."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

1. owner (2022): originally produced in Cárdenas, Cuba, by family-owned José Arechabala S.A., the brand was nationalized after the Cuban Revolution of 1959. In 1993, French-owned Pernod Ricard and the government of Cuba created a state-run 50:50 joint venture called Corporación Cuba Ron (havana club, santiago de cuba, rum cubay, sao can, perla del norte rum).
2. distillery (2022) and bottled: two Cuban distilleries - at the Rum Factory of Santa Cruz del Norte (east of Havana) and at San Jose (south-east of Havana)
this ron is only for cocktails. it was ok in cuba libre, rum cola, but nothing special, especially for such price. for this money, you can always find better options for cocktails. won't buy it again also because of Cuba, which has been supporting russia in its aggression against Ukraine since 2014.
